Piercing FAQ

---
Q: What piercings do you offer?

A: A complete list of the piercings we offer is available at the bottom of this page.

---
Q: How much do piercings cost?
A: Piercing prices vary by location, and all our prices include the cost of basic starter jewelry. For piercing prices, please contact us by calling us, messaging us or hitting "Book Now" on our page.

---
Q: Do you offer piercings for minors?
A: We offer select piercings for minors who have both parental consent and the required documents. The minimum age required for piercings varies based on piercing location – for more information, you can call us, or message our Facebook.

In order to pierce a minor, we need the minor's original birth certificate with the state seal, and the present parent's valid, state-issued photo ID. The accompanying parent must be present for the paperwork, piercing, and aftercare instructions every time a minor comes in to get pierced, but the identification documents only need to be brought in once, as they are stored on file.

If the accompanying guardian is not listed on the birth certificate, or if their name has been changed, there may be additional documents required. We recommend giving us a call or messaging us if you have questions about whether the documents you have are acceptable.

 ---
Q: If I am 18 or older, what identification do I need to bring to get pierced?
A: We require a valid, state-issued photo ID, and examples of this include a driver’s license, driver’s permit, state ID, handgun carry permit, or passport. We cannot accept military IDs, student IDs, social security cards, or birth certificates for clients aged 18 and older.

 ---
Q: Do your piercers offer services other than piercings?
A: Yes! Our piercers assist clients in purchasing jewelry, changing out jewelry, ordering custom jewelry, and stretching existing piercings. We can also help if you are having difficulty healing your piercings and need some advice.

 ---
Q: What is your starter jewelry made of?
A: We use internally threaded or threadless, implant-grade titanium for all our piercings, and that jewelry is included in the cost of the piercing service.

 ---
Q: Do I have to start my piercing with basic jewelry?
A: No. If you’d prefer to start with something other than the standard starter jewelry, you would first need a consultation with one of our piercers. They will be able to discuss your alternate options and set that jewelry aside for it to be sterilized.

 ---
Q: Do I need an appointment for a piercing?
A: We are doing walk ins every day, times may vary per artist availbility.
You can still book an appointment if you would like. Click the link included here that will guide you through the appointment process: Book A Piercing Appointment Now.

---
Q: What do I need to know about making an appointment for a piercing?
A: We have an appointment scheduling app called Setmore. Refer to question 8. for the access link in making an appointment.

Once you click the link it will guide you through the process of selecting a piercing and piercer of your choice. Then the available dates and times will pop up for you to select what's most convenient for you. You will then be prompted to put in your information or confirm your information is correct.
You have to select the box agreeing to our cancelation policy. Then select continue.
At this point a payment screen will pop up. We require all scheduled piercings to be booked and paid for in advance using our touchless system.
Once you are finished you will be sent an email confirming your appointment. There is nothing more you need to do until you arrive for your piercing appointment.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW.....
** All booked appointments are non-refundable or transferrable within 24 hours of service. If you need to make any changes you must do so prior to 24 hours before your appointment.
** If you do not call or show up for your piercing appointment OR if you show up with improper ID for minors or adults**:
Unfortunately we will be unable to refund your money for your appointment that was made. By making your appointment your spot is held and preparations to properly execute your service are initiated. Our staff of piercers take much advance time preparing for each appointment to ensure the best experience possible. The proper tools, jewelry, sterilization or any other needed element to properly execute your body art appointment has already been take on our end. All deposits, bookings and scheduled appointments will be forfeited in the event of a no call no show or failure to notify us of needing a booking change within 24 hours of your appointment. When a client doesn't show up after all the preparations are made we are unable to fill a spot last minute and the piercer will still be paid for their time. We can reschedule appointments missed due to improper ID, or sudden onset of illnesses such as Covid.

---
Q: Do you sell jewelry?
A: Yes. We carry a multitude of jewelry options for many different piercings, and what we don’t carry, we can usually order. If you are looking to purchase jewelry, you can schedule an appointment to speak with either of our piercers.

 ---
Q: What should I use to clean my piercing?
A: Aftercare will differ slightly depending on the location of the piercing.
For exterior skin, we recommend using a sterile saline wound wash two to three times a day for the full heal-time of your piercing. If using a fine-mist saline solution, you can spray the saline directly onto your healing piercing, then wipe away the excess fluid with a cotton pad. If using another form of saline, we recommend applying the saline to the cotton pad first, then gently wiping the piercing area.

For oral piercings, we recommend rinsing for 30 seconds with an alcohol-free mouthwash four to five times day for the full heal-time, as well as every time after you eat, drink, or smoke.

Do not touch, twist, turn, or rotate your piercing. Refrain from submerging your piercing in standing water, as doing so makes you highly susceptible to infection. If you have complications or concerns while healing a piercing, book a consult to speak with a piercer - we offer free consultations whenever the piercers are available and want to help you heal your piercing correctly.

 ---
Q: Is there anything else I can use to clean my piercing?
A: We only recommend using an alcohol-free mouth was for oral piercings, and sterile saline wound wash (for use in combination with cotton pads) to clean exterior skin.

We do not recommend using cotton swabs in place of cotton pads, as doing so risks irritating the piercing, causing inflammation and discomfort.

We strongly recommend against using products such as witch hazel, peroxide, antibiotic ointment, or rubbing alcohol on your piercing. Doing so will inflame the piercing, and potentially elongate the healing process.

 ---
Q: I’m having difficulty healing my piercing. What should I do?
A: Healing is different for everyone, as not everyone has the same lifestyle or anatomy. If you need assistance or have questions, schedule a consult appointment with one of our piercers. Consultations are always free, and our piercers are trained professionals who want to assist you in healing your piercing correctly. For questions about consultations, or appointments, just give us a call or email us at noegretstattoo@gmail.com

---
Q: What are your health practices?
A: Our piercers keep up to date on relevant piercing and health practices. It is important to us that your piercing is done in a safe, clean environment. As well as following all relevant health code practices, all initial jewelry and tools are sterilized in our autoclave, which is spore tested weekly. All initial jewelry and needles are sterilized and single-use.
